ballet «Romeo and Juliet» Mikhailovsky Theatre , 2012

In December 2012 at the Mikhailovsky Theatre , the premiere of Sergei Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet" choreographed by Nacho Duato.

Choreographer and artistic director Jafar Chalabi laid the foundation stage design a complex system architecture of mobile units that move and rotate in different planes as an integral part in the choreography of the show.

Specialists theater workshops "Vozrozhdenie" started to implement the project , commissioned by the Mikhailovsky Theatre , at the end of October 2012 . The entire production process , from initial design to its implementation took less than one and a half months.

When used in the manufacture of load-bearing structures of steel and aluminum profiles , depending on the appropriateness of their application to the design of the moving stair treads were introduced wooden latches that allow to completely eliminate the sounds that occur in the course of their transformation when changing pictures.

All the movement and transformation of structures occur in using electromechanical equipment , without the physical impact of the theater staff . The movement of panels provide 35 drives. Control of all mechanisms is a hardware-software complex. Side wall panels consist of three parts, each of which is moved by a separate motor certain computer program.

Thus, the system drives the play " Romeo and Juliet", drives the panels that move along paths of varying difficulty, with an installed individually for each panel, velocity and attitude . Complex control system allows you to make changes and adjustments to the existing provisions of the panels. Front- panel walls are decorated with three-dimensional plastic modules.

In early December, artistic and decorative design for the play was mounted on the stage.
